PUBG Unban : PUBG Mobile India Coming Back After Ban

PUBG has been banned in India along with a long list of other apps that are completely or partially developed or owned by Chinese companies.

The PUBG Corporation which has developed the popular battle royale PUBG game on mobile and computer platforms has listed a new job vacancy on LinkedIn. They are seeking an associate-level manager in India. The game is currently on the list of banned mobile apps in India. The post for a new vacancy has PUBG players excited assuming that this must be an early step to the app being available again.

However, a mere job posting doesn’t mean that the app will be allowed to be used by users again in India. PUBG has been banned in India along with a long list of other apps that are completely or partially developed or owned by Chinese companies. The move came as a part of the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi’s clarion call of ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ (self-sufficient India). The timing of the ban was also close to the time of Chinese incursions on India’s land on the North-Eastern front. If you are still seeking a game to scratch the itch that PUBG has left due to the Indian government’s ban, then you might want to check out the following list of games.

The best of the lot in Google Play Store or Apple Store are Cover Fire: Online Shooter Game, ScarFall: The Royal Combat, Game of Survival, Hopeless Land: Fight for Survival and Battlefield Royale – The One. Another budding favorite will be India’s FAUG game which is expected by the end of October 2020.

These games can be played offline to complete missions as well as online for the full battle royale experience that rival PUBG Lite. The story mode is particularly interesting with several missions of varying degrees of difficulties. In essence, it is a mobile version of Counter-Strike where you are a part of elite forces who have to take down terrorists to win. There are a lot of weapons to choose from with modifications and upgrades available as you climb the ranks and improve your skills using a pistol, sub-machine guns, and even sniper rifles. How many of these games have you tried? Tell us in the comments below!
